OMAR ECHEHELH
Omar Echchelh brings over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with a distinguished career that spans fine dining, event planning, and hotel operations. His journey began as Maître d’ for the Princess of Morocco, followed by a significant role at the acclaimed three-star Felidia Restaurant, where he spent over six years honing his service and leadership skills. Omar then served as General Manager at several prestigious establishments, including the legendary Fontana di Trevi Restaurant, Enoteca El Castello Restaurant, the 201 Club Catering Hall, and Solaia Restaurant, where he dedicated over 15 years. His strong leadership and operational expertise were key to the success and reputation of each venue.
In 2016, Omar joined Backal Hospitality Group at Versa as Assistant Director of Food & Beverage Operations, a position he held until 2021. He then became the Food & Beverage Outlet Director at the Teaneck Marriott before returning to BHG in 2023 as Director of Operations at Versa. Omar’s extensive background in restaurants, event planning, and hotel management makes him a versatile and invaluable asset to our hospitality team. He holds a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management and is fluent in French, English, and Arabic.
